The first quarter of 2021 is completed, and typically everyone in the cooling system business is eagerly anticipating a change in the weather. If you are one of the many radiator service businesses that also sell A/C parts and offer A/C repairs, you cannot hardly wait for the first 80-degree day which will start a flood of sales entering your business. Some radiator companies have figured out how to stay busy throughout the year while others are seasonal. NARSA/IDEA staff and the Board of Directors wish you a very prosperous year regardless of the services you offer. Everyone is looking forward to this summer and a return to business as usual.
Before the summer starts NARSA/ IDEA is offering one more Virtual Conference May 21-22, 2021. Please register and schedule to attend this two-day event! We are excited to offer what we think is a very robust, educational 6 hours of programming.
NARSA/IDEA is also planning an in-person meeting in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for September 16-17, 2021. Please be on the lookout for some exciting news about our first in-person event in almost two years.

Open NARSA/IDEA Board of Directors SeatsNominations are now open for candidates seeking election to the Board of Directors of NARSA/IDEA – The International Heat Transfer and Diesel Emissions Association.The Board is responsible for setting policy, reviewing programs, developing projects and approving budgets for sustaining the overall financial health of the organization. The Board provides for the direction of staff and association resources to accomplish the objectives of the organization. The Board of Directors meets four times a year – one meeting at the HD Conference in the fall in person and the others virtually.
Each board seat carries a two-year term. The NARSA Board of Directors can consist of a minimum of eight (8), and a maximum of thirteen (13) members. Those who are not serving on the current board will go through an interview process during which the Nominations Committee (current president, chairman, and executive director) will interview prospective candidates. During the process, the NARSA/IDEA leadership will also be able to review board member responsibilities and expectations with candidates. Nominations will remain open until July 15, 2021.

New Advertising Management
For the past 2 years, NARSA has contracted with E&M Consulting to publish the NARSA Now Newsletter and The Cooling Journal. While we have enjoyed a good working relationship with E&M, we have decided to bring advertising back in-house. As we finalize plans with a new publisher, we are taking the steps to ensure that our NARSA members are well taken care of.
We are working with E&M to transfer records and accounts, and we will begin in-house advertising in the July/August 2021 issue of The Cooling Journal.
In the next few weeks, you will be receiving our new 2021 rate card. We will honor any existing advertisements that have already been purchased through E&M for 2021, and we will sell future and year-end advertising as well.
