Université de Sherbrooke appoints Marie-Claude Laquerre to the position of Student Ombudsman

We are pleased to announce to the members of the FCO that at its last meeting, the Board of Directors of the Université de Sherbrooke appointed Marie-Claude Laquerre to the position of Student Ombudsman to replace Ms. Soucila Badaroudine who has retired.

Marie-Claude Laquerre has been involved in the Université de Sherbrooke community for almost 16 years, as a student, an employee and as lecturer. These different roles have allowed her to have an in-depth knowledge of the institution and to develop relationships with the various university services. Marie-Claude is trained in law, as a notary, has also obtained a graduate degree in applied ethics and is finishing her MBA in a few days. Her priority has always been the human contact and to ensure an advisory role for the people she comes into contact with. Her experience in mediation allows her to exercise a human and empathetic leadership and to have a systemic view of different problems to solve. She loves working in a team and is very happy to be able to use her skills in the role of Ombudsman. There is no doubt that she will make a rich contribution to our association.

We wish her every success in her new position!
